18 weeks
It occurs to me I haven't done a pregnancy update yet.
Probably because I'm tired and lazy!
Probably because I'm tired and lazy!
Things are going well. I'm 18.5 weeks right now.
The first trimester was my least favorite of all my pregnancies. It was pretty much a combination of both. With Colin I dry heaved and was tired but felt pretty good. With Peyton I never dry heaved, did throw up, wasn't tired. Correction: Apparently with Peyton I did dry heave. A lot! I have since forgotten this but I was reading the blog from when I was pregnant with her and I talked about all the dry heaving I did! With this one I dry heaved, threw up, and was exhausted!
With the other two those symptoms ended as soon as the 2nd trimester started. This time it's gone on longer. I think the last time I threw up was at 16 weeks and I'll still randomly dry heave. I'm not as tired as I was before but I'm still more tired than I was with the others at this point.
I've also noticed that I get winded a lot easier than I did with the other two...at least I think so--maybe I just don't remember it! Just walking up the stairs tires me out. Maybe I need to start doing some cardio!
The baby's movements are getting stronger. Still not strong enough for someone else to feel but they're more pronounced than the flutters I felt a few weeks ago. At this point it doesn't move a ton throughout the day. I usually feel it when I lay down on the couch or in bed at night. It's usually just a couple little kicks for a minute or so. I'm getting excited for them to become even stronger and longer durations so Ryan and the kids can feel it!
My ultra sound is scheduled for April 2nd. We're still planning on not finding out, which kind of takes some of the excitement out of the ultra sound but I still can't wait to see our little baby's profile!! We're planning on taking the kids with us so they can see the baby too.

Here are some funny things the kids have said this pregnancy:
*In the beginning I gagged a lot while changing Peyton's diapers. One day she said "Don't say ugh, mom." She'll also tell me that other people don't get sick when they change her diaper: "Grandma's not get sick when she changes me."
*One of the videos the kids watch talks about small, large, and medium. A couple weeks ago Colin was telling Peyton who was what in our family. He said "You're small, I'm medium and mom's big...actually, Dad's big and mom is gigantic." I was like "What?!" To which he emphatically responded "You have a baby in your belly!" What's he gonna think in 4 months?!
*He also told me he wouldn't tell me when I get fat!
*I was holding Peyton tonight and she kept hitting my shoulder blade. I said "Don't hit me!" And she said matter of factly: "The baby's not in your back." What a sassy little thing!!!
(She knows she's not allowed to kick me in the stomach because the baby's in my belly- clearly she gets that it's okay to hit my back!)
*A couple weeks ago Kim and I were face timing and Colin came in the room and told her "My mom eats A LOT!" After we both cracked up he said: "What?! She has a baby in her belly!"
Disclaimer-- I don't think I'm eating that much right now!
That's all I remember right now! If I think of anything else they've said I'll do another post!
