Colin had his first day of nursery at church today! When kids turn 18 months they are able to go into the nursery for the last 2 hours of church. I really did not know what to expect because Colin is pretty clingy to me, especially when he doesn't know people. He's only ever been watched by people he knows, and he doesn't really play with kids that often. He did GREAT!!
I took him in there before the class that I teach started. I told the leader I could come back in after my class if she needed me to but he was fine! As soon as we went in he found a toy to play with and then he started playing with a truck and trying to sit on it. I snuck out of the room when he wasn't looking and he never cried! I almost did though!
I went back to get him after church was over and the leader said that the only time he cried was when they put the toys away to get ready for snacktime because he wasn't sure what was going on. She said he didn't cry much though, as soon as they got the snacks out he was fine-- of course, the kid loves food!! He also colored a little picture that they made into a necklace. Another amazing thing about it was that he hadn't had a nap today and wasn't crabby or grumpy during nursery!! I can't believe our little boy is getting so big and grown up!! He is definitely the light of our lives!!

Colin LOVES talking on cell phones! Last night we called Ryan's mom and had to leave her a message. Afterwards, Colin carried Ryan's cellphone around the house for 15 minutes holding the phone to his ear and jabbering away! He also tried to put Ryan's shoes on, even when he fell down in the process, he still kept the phone up to his ear!
I called my brother today on the way to church and had to leave him a message. Colin wanted the phone when I was done. I gave it to him and heard him talking in the backseat. When I turned around he had the phone open, was holding it up to his ear, and carrying on his conversation!! He is such a crack up!

Just another cute story:
The other night I was making rolls for dinner. Colin was in the kitchen with me so I told him to stay away from the oven while I put the rolls in because it was "Hot, hot, hot". Colin said "Hot, hot, hot" and then he blew (he blows his food to cool it off when it's too hot. It is so cute)!!
