Christmas Time

We had such a great Christmas but it went by WAY too fast!

Ryan's mom got here the Wednesday before Christmas. Thursday the kids and I went to playgroup while Ryan and Jeannie did some shopping. We all met up for lunch and then shopped some more. On Friday we went to the Shrine and looked at Christmas lights. We opened all our presents Christmas Eve day. That night we went to my grandparents house with all our extended family. On Christmas day we went to church and then over to my parents house. It was a lot of fun to spend time with one another and celebrate the birth of our Savior!

The day after Christmas we went shopping and out to dinner. On Tuesday Ryan had to work so Jeannie, the kids, and I went to the mall. Wednesday we hung out and then had dinner at my grandparents. Josh and Joni had come to town the night before so we got to see them!

Jeannie left on Thursday morning. We've just been hanging out the rest of the week! Friday night was an open house/reception for Josh and Joni at my parents--we didn't take any pictures though :(

We went over to Mom and Dad for New Year's Eve yesterday. Ryan went golfing with Josh and Dad (It was 60 degrees out!) We had fondue and played games while ringing in the new year! I can't believe it's 2012 already! I hope everyone has a great year!!!

In the Nick of Time

My mom and I made Peyton's stocking. We finished it just in the nick of time! I started working on the cross stitch the beginning of November. I just finished it last weekend! In the beginning I worked on it quite a bit then there was a big lapse of time where I didn't get anything accomplished--it's kind of hard to do that with a newborn because it didn't work too well to do it when I was holding her!

After I finished the cross stitch I gave it to my mom to sew it! She texted me this morning to say it was done! Yay! Now Peyton's all ready for Santa's arrival tomorrow night!

---

The story of our stockings: My mom made all of our stockings when we were kids. When Ryan and I got married I wanted my childhood stocking but mom wanted to keep it at her house (I don't blame her)! So she made me a replica of mine and made one for Ryan that matched Jason's. When Colin was born we obviously needed a matching one for him (I think at that point mom was a little mad she'd continued the tradition on for my family!) To help her out I cross stitched Colin's for her and she sewed the stocking so that's what we did for Peyton too!

Merry Christmas!!!

Recent Photos

I think these are all the pictures I haven't posted in the last few weeks.

Enjoy!

Me and my baby girl!

At our ward Christmas party

Colin and Peyton's 1st Christmas ornaments. We had to do Peyton's footprint because she still keeps her fists all balled up. I tried numerous times to straighten her fingers out before I decided the foot was the way to go! Maybe we'll try a hand print next year!

I made these cupcakes for the ward party.

So fun!

Peyton holding her head up so good!

{And how adorable is her baby bracelet?!}

3 Months and 1 Week

She's kind of got the eyeshine going on here but it's so adorable!!

I haven't updated in awhile! It seems there was quite a bit going on this week! I had to go into work Monday for a few meetings. Then Tuesday they called to see if I could come in on Wednesday so I worked a 5 hour day (love PRN!).

My main priority this week was finishing the cross stitch for Peyton's stocking! It's finally done so now my mom can sew it up and then we'll have all our stockings up!

My next priority was Christmas cards! I wrote our letter 3 weeks ago but we didn't have a picture yet. We finally took one today--Colin wasn't super cooperative- he kept making funny faces! Hopefully I can get them out next week!

Onto the good stuff: Peyton turned 3 months last Saturday! Time is FLYING! She is such a good girl! She's always happy, rarely cries (it's never been more than 30 seconds!), and sleeps like a champ! She averages 9-10 hours every night--usually closer to 10! It's wonderful! She usually falls asleep between 11:30 and 12 and usually wakes up around 9:30. AMAZING! She started giggling this week which is so adorable! She'll usually do it when we're laughing at her and she seems to do it the most at me right now. The 2 main times she's done it is when I've picked her up after she hadn't seen me in awhile--once because I was gone and once because Ryan was holding her while I worked on her cross stitch.

Colin continues to love her so much! He loves to give her kisses and get in her face! He's such a sweet brother to her! He's so funny too! When he wakes up in the morning he'll turn on the TV and get himself some breakfast--or, if Ryan hasn't left for work yet he tells Ryan what he wants. It's been nice because it allows me to sleep in past 7- when he usually wakes up (I'm not a morning person!) We're so very blessed with our 2 beautiful children!

More Utah

The last of our Utah pics. In no particular order.

Peyton was blessed on Thanksgiving day. We were able to have most of our extended family there so it was really special. She wore the dress that Rachel and I were both dressed in!

Brotherly love- Josh has a ring on it!

We made smores!

How cute is this coat Grandma got her?!

We played football...check out the mountains!
