12 Month Stats

Peyton went to the doctor last week for her 1 year check up.

Can you believe she's already a year old?!

That went so incredibly fast!

 

Her stats are:

Weight: 22 lb 12.5 oz -86th %

Height: 31.25 inches- 98th %

 

To compare {Colin at 1 year}:

Weight: 21 lb 15.5 oz- 25-50th%

Height: 31 inches- 75th %

 

-Peyton has quite the little attitude these days. She's a head butter! She's got a nice split bottom lip right now because she was mad yesterday and smashed her face into a kitchen chair. (Basically what happened is she pushed the chair against the trash can, climbed onto the chair, I removed her, Colin got on the chair to keep her off, she got pissed and banged her head into the chair.)

-Her favorite food is bananas. Every time she sees them she starts squealing "Eeeee eeee" and pointing to them. She's not picky though. She eats EVERY THING!

-She still isn't walking. Prior to her birthday she had taken 2 steps a few times. Today she took 4 steps 2 times. She can stand for awhile without holding onto anything. I think it'll be a couple more months before she's full fledged walking.

-She's become very difficult at bed time. She fights it. The other night she woke up at 1 am and was up until 2:15. The only reason she ended up going back to sleep is because I couldn't take it anymore and brought her into our bed. She would fall asleep when we were holding her and then wake up as soon as we put her down or tried to walk away. Not cool! Tonight she was tired but wouldn't stop moving around. I finally had to just put her in her bed for awhile and let her cry. Then I went in and cuddled for a minute and she was out.

-Says 'dada' all the time. Other words are still mama, hi, hot

-She's a little ham! She likes to look at me, go "Mmmmmm" and then giggle.

-She loves climbing the stairs

-She LOVES her big brother. They're best buddies!

 

I can't believe this year has gone by so fast but I don't know what we ever did without our sweet girl!

Labor Day weekend we went out to dinner with my family for my moms birthday

Peyton has decided that she loves being confined in things. She climbs into her diaper cabinet and stuffs herself into the bookcase!

A few weeks ago Ryan took Colin to the airshow on base. I think they had a fun boys outing!

This weekend we went to Wichita for Ryan's cousins wedding.

I forgot the camera!

(To be fair, I was sick when I was packing and things weren't going so well that day).

It's Football Season!

Ryan's on the Varsity football team at East this year which means...

Lots of football for us :)

The first game we went to this season was the night of Peyton's birthday party when my grandma was here. For some reason I was having serious camera issues that day and got a bunch of blurry pictures but here are a couple to prove we were there! That night Ryan was started and he did great! It was 35-0 at half time! Sadly he hasn't played much since then. Oh well!

It's Magic!

Colin didn't have school on Wednesday so we decided to go to the Magic House! We had never been before and I've been wanting to go for awhile. It was so much fun! I'm pretty sure it's a kids dreamland!

It was such a blast! We spent a good 3 hours there and never got bored. Colin was so sad when we had to leave! On the way home he and Peyton both fell asleep.

 

That night we had dinner at Mom and Dad's and hung out. Grandma got Colin Go Fish so we played a lot of that while she was here!

Birthday #1

I was going to try to get pictures of all the things we did today for Peyton's birthday but it didn't quite happen. I do, however, have a pretty good group of photos to help us remember our special day. I just didn't do a great job of getting everyone in pictures!

 

Her day started off this morning with a little nap in the playpen on her puppy

After we dropped Colin off at preschool we met Grandma, and both Great Grandma's for lunch. Peyton ate some taco salad and mashed potatoes.

{This is where it would have been good for me to take pictures of my Grandmas but I didn't}

After lunch we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa's for a few minutes before we had to get Colin from school.

Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpas. I think Colin was being a bat.

We got Chick-fil-A for dinner and Peyton's favorite thing was Colin's chocolate milkshake. She drank the heck out of that thing and when I tried to give it back to him she screamed at me!
It was such a fun day for the birthday girl!
